Lee is a rising star in the world of LPGA, which was highlighted by her win at The 2022 Portland Classic. Lee also has won 9 times in her collegiate times at Standford University and was ranked top on the planet for 17 weeks. After winning the Mark H. McCormack Award for the highest ranked women's amateur worldwide after the end of the 2019 season, Lee decided to go pro. Andrea Lee was born on 15 August 1997 in Los Angeles. James James began teaching Andrea Lee at the age of 5 how to play golf. She started playing tournaments in the age of eight and has won 50 junior championships within a span of four year. She was able to make the cut in the 2013 US Women's Open, held at Pinehurst No. with her father as caddie, she was only 15 when this happened. Lee was invited by sponsors for the 15th ANA Inspiration on the LPGA Tour but was unable to make the cut by one shot. Lee was a member of the USA at the Junior Ryder Cup Junior Solheim Cup Curtis Cup Women's World Amateur Team Championship and the Junior Ryder Cup. When she first joined Stanford University in 2016, Lee became the school's most popular player to that point. She won nine titles over the course of three seasons. Lee quit Stanford University and turned pro in 2019. The amateur career of her was a success, seeing her stay for 17 weeks at top of the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Lee won the Mark H. McCormack award during the year 2019 following becoming the most popular amateur. Lee's amateur record comprised four holes in one, and one albatross. In her first season she was a top-10 player with two finishings. She finished 7th at the AIG Women's Open in 2020 held at Kingsbarns Golf Links. Lee's debut LPGA Tour victory came in 2022 in the Portland Classic. Lee dedicated the win to her grandfather Min who died in 2012. Min was constantly calling me a winner, and believed that I could win. She stated, "I was so grateful to him. I'm sure that he's always watching." Her earlier competitions include soccer, taekwondo, as well as figure skating. Lee's other passions include films, singing bowling, and shopping.
